Birmingham Electrical Contractors (BEC) is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Superintendent to lead commercial electrical construction projects in the Birmingham area. Qualifications

• Lead multiple commercial electrical projects with strong safety focus.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Mentor foremen and field personnel while maintaining schedules.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multiple commercial electrical projects simultaneously.
• Manage field crews with a safety‑focused, productive environment.
• Coordinate manpower, schedules, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet milestones.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Communicate updates and change orders with project management.
• Perform quality control inspections and punch list management.
• Oversee low-voltage terminations and installations when required.
• Mentor foremen and develop field personnel.
• Utilize Excel and company iPhones/iPads for reporting and timekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Assist with project closeout, as-built documentation, and turnover.
