Birmingham Electrical Contractors (BEC) is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Superintendent to lead commercial electrical construction projects throughout the Birmingham area. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multiple commercial electrical projects simultaneously.
• Manage field crews while promoting a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
• Coordinate manpower, schedules, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Communicate project updates, scheduling needs, and change orders with project management.
• Perform quality control inspections, punch list management, and ensure work meets company standards.
• Oversee low-voltage terminations and installations when required.
• Mentor and develop foremen and field personnel.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel along with company-issued iPhones and iPads for reporting, documentation, and timekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
• Assist with project closeout, as-built documentation, and final turnover.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial electrical experience.
• A valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license/card.
• Proven experience managing multiple commercial electrical projects simultaneously.
• Experience leading and supervising electrical crews.
• Experience with low-voltage terminations.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and construction documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.OSHA 30 Certification (preferred).
• Dependable work history and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
