Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, L.L.C. is seeking a Senior Superintendent to join our Commercial team in Birmingham, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial construction experience and lead the on-site management of complex projects.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, coordinating with Estimating and Project Management, scheduling, documentation, and subcontractor oversight. A strong focus on safety, communication, and staffing is essential for success on this role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Experience as lead superintendent on at least one project.
• Experience on projects up to $80M preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Advocates safety as number one priority on the jobsite and enforces safety plans and policies.
• Supervises, coordinates and directs management of construction projects with owners, designers and subcontractors.
• Develops and implements detailed schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mind.
• Assists Project Manager in preparing project status reports and payroll documentation.
• Oversees review of plans and drawings for contract compliance and coordinates shop drawings.
• Recruits, hires and directs on-site field personnel per HR processes.
