Job summary

MPI is seeking a Construction Superintendent in Pittsburgh to oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance while coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The role requires proven leadership, strong knowledge of codes, and excellent communication. Willingness to travel to multiple job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a construction superintendent or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, codes, and specifications.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with subcontractors and vendors for timely completion.
• Oversee procurement and delivery of materials, monitoring inventory to prevent delays.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, and safety, addressing issues promptly.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align objectives and resolve conflicts.
• Provide leadership to on-site personnel and foster a productive work environment.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation: daily reports, meeting minutes, change orders, as-built drawings.
• Monitor project budget and expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities and prevent overruns.
• Enforce project policies and safety/environmental regulations; serve as liaison with stakeholders.
