Job summary

Graycor Construction Company seeks a Superintendent to direct daily jobsite activities, manage subcontractors and labor, and uphold safety and quality programs across construction projects.

Responsibilities include overseeing look-ahead schedules, budget control, on-site reporting, and coordination with the Owner's representative to meet client expectations. Candidates should have at least five years as a superintendent and be willing to travel and reside on-site as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience as a Superintendent.
• Willingness to travel extensively and temporarily reside at the project site for extended periods with travel home provided every other weekend.
• Capability of maintaining and following a Critical Path project schedule.
• Thorough understanding of and ability to maintain current, complete set of project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications and related items.
• Desire to succeed; strong leadership, self-starter, high standards and zero punch lists.
• General computer skills and openness to using new scheduling and reporting technologies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all daily activities of the jobsite, managing subcontractors and labor for construction projects.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in an organized manner, complying with the quality program and specifications.
• Implement safety policies and quality programs; monitor performance on safety audits.
• Review change orders with the Project Manager and manage budget/control for each work activity.
• Provide status and photos weekly and complete daily reports to the Project Manager.
• Maintain open communication with the Owner's representative and participate in progress/scheduling meetings.
