Job summary

Rycon Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent for our Atlanta office. The role focuses on leading commercial construction projects, coordinating subcontractors, managing budgets and schedules, and enforcing safety standards on site.

Candidates should have 5+ years of supervisory experience, familiarity with trades, and strong skills in reading drawings and managing OSHA-compliant work. Rycon offers competitive salary and ESOP along with conventional benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years construction supervisory experience in commercial construction.
• Project values up to $5 million+ are desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall and finish trades.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement thereof.
• Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors and equipment.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; scheduling software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate project schedule to plan upcoming activities and stay on target.
• Coordinate daily activities for all subcontractors and ensure work aligns with design, budget, and schedule.
• Manage project budgets, track construction costs, and submit invoices timely.
• Prepare daily site log reports detailing conditions, manpower and activities.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed per OSHA and company requirements.
• Conduct pre-installation safety evaluations with contractors.
• Ensure machinery and tools are available and in good working order.
• Schedule and participate in inspections as required by regulations.
• Monitor quality of construction procedures and communicate status to management.
• Respond to onsite incidents per company procedures.
