Job summary

rand* construction corporation is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for the Atlanta team. The role oversees field staff alongside the Superintendent, ensuring work aligns with plans and specifications, and supervising carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include coordinating site materials, tools, and information, managing daily reports and safety forms, and directing subcontractors to meet the project schedule. Full-time in Atlanta, with opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; two years of college preferred.
• 3 years experience in construction or real estate field.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, prints, schematics, and other written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions in English.
• Ability to practice and follow safe work procedures per the safety policy handbook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak and/or understand Spanish is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for all field staff on a project with oversight from the Superintendent and ensures work is built per plans and specs.
• Supervise carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors and manage on-site staffing and schedules.
• Coordinate materials, tools/equipment, information, and staff on the job site in a timely fashion.
• Handle daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, accident reports, and related forms for rand* office.
• Direct subcontractors and schedule work according to the project schedule.
