Job summary

Monteith Construction is seeking a Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field activities for commercial projects in the Carolinas. You will manage safety, scheduling, cost and quality control while coordinating trade partners and maintaining strong client relationships.

Require 3+ years supervising commercial construction, strong organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency with MS Office; Procore experience is a plus. Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours is needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in supervising commercial construction.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with construction management software (Procore) is a plus.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Owner, Architect, Trade Partner & Supplier relationships.
• Ensure that all projects are performed by contract and quality standards.
• Schedule and direct daily activities of work to meet project objectives (cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality).
• Maintain daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and emails.
• Implement project schedules ensuring upcoming events are on track and attended.
• Promote and maintain safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site.
• Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
• Participate in training and other continuous improvement initiatives.
