Job summary

Monteith Construction Corp. is seeking a Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial projects in Charleston, SC. You will supervise crews, enforce safety, and drive Lean planning, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance.

You will coordinate owner, architect, trade partners, and suppliers, direct daily activities, maintain documentation, and lead meetings. Travel as needed to ensure project objectives are met with strong customer satisfaction and continuous

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supervising commercial construction.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with construction management software (Procore) a plus but not required.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Owner, Architect, Trade Partner & Supplier relationships.
• Ensure that all projects are performed by contract and quality standards.
• Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and take necessary actions to ensure project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process are met.
• Maintain daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and emails.
• Implement project schedules ensuring upcoming events are on track and proactively attended to.
• Promote and maintain safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site.
• Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
• Participate in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives.
