Job summary

Martin Commercial Properties is seeking an experienced, collaborative Commercial Construction Project Manager to support our team. As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all facets of commercial construction projects to include budget, schedule, design procurement, construction and quality control.

This on-site role is based at our East Lansing, MI office, requiring local availability. You will oversee preconstruction through closeout, partnering with field leadership, foremen,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years' proven Project Manager experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with field and office teams.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop short-interval plans, look-ahead schedules, and daily work plans.
• Lead estimating efforts, bid packages, subcontractor buyout, and contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls.
• Oversee RFI, change order, and pay application processes.
• Coordinate closely with owners, subcontractors, superintendents, and internal teams.
• Proactively identify and remove obstacles to support crew success.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience aligned with Martin’s standards of excellence.
