Job summary

Wolverine Construction in Michigan is seeking a self-sufficient Project Manager I to oversee commercial construction projects from start to finish. This new role is ideal for a proactive professional who can lead projects, communicate across on-site and remote teams, and contribute to business development efforts.

You will manage design through closeout, coordinate schedules and budgets, and maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, designers, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or engineering.
• 3–5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency with Procore and MS Office.
• Strong safety, quality, and team development mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial construction projects from design through closeout.
• Build relationships with owners, subcontractors, design teams, superintendents, and staff.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and financial reporting with timely updates.
• Serve as primary contact for project teams and clients.
• Identify and resolve design, construction, and scheduling issues.
• Support proposals, presentations, and client relationships for business development.
• Travel frequently across Southeast Michigan; occasional Grand Rapids trips.
• Adopt SOPs quickly to impact project teams.
