Job summary

Benderson Development seeks a qualified Project Manager to organize, supervise, schedule, and plan multiple commercial construction projects aimed at maximizing cost efficiency and timely completion.

The role requires motivating teams, providing on-site cost estimates, negotiating contracts and change orders, and aligning project objectives with brand standards. You will collaborate with design professionals and subcontractors from preconstruction through close-out.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial project management experience.
• Retail construction experience preferred.
• Experience with new ground-up construction required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of assigned projects including budgeting, scheduling, contracting, and cost tracking.
• Review design plans and specifications for accuracy, detail, and cost-effectiveness; lead design review meetings with architects and engineers.
• Coordinate design and construction efforts to ensure tenant requirements and brand standards are met.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed per contract documents and schedule.
• Monitor construction progress and communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety protocols, and company standards.
• Manage project documentation and review changes in scope, advising management of necessary budget updates.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
