Job summary

Haydon, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception to completion. You’ll oversee subcontractors, negotiate contracts, develop budgets and timelines, and coordinate with owners, architects, and engineers to ensure on-time delivery and profitability.

You will manage schedules, enforce policies, document delays, and drive recovery plans. A Bachelor's in Construction Management and 8–10 years of commercial experience are required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and a minimum of 8-10 years commercial construction experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in commercial construction.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.
• Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
• Good client management and goodwill building ability.
• Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams.
• Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
• Capacity to handle pressure.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Strong focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule workflow and assignments of direct reports.
• Ensure Project Superintendent enforces policies and field activities per Haydon procedures.
• Administer project schedule and ensure adequate subcontractor manpower.
• Document delays and notify responsible parties.
• Create and enforce recovery plans for lost time.
• Enforce Subcontract and Prime Contract terms; address defaults.
• Prepare and administer claims to Owner as needed.
• Coordinate with Estimating for timely subcontract/purchase orders.
• Issue budgets and modifications to Accounting on schedule.
• Manage contract revisions and owner billings updates.
