Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a Concrete Estimator in Houston to develop accurate bid proposals and perform scope analysis for potential projects. Responsibilities include take-offs, pricing estimates, and buyout coordination with the Project Manager.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in estimating large commercial self-perform concrete projects, strong communication skills, and experience with construction specifications. On-site role with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years estimating large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Strong reading and interpretation of technical and legal documents.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience with B2W software is a plus.
• Creative, results-oriented and able to work in a team or alone.

Responsibilities

• Read bid instructions, specifications and prepare material take-offs.
• Estimate labor, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs for a price estimate.
• Review proposals and drawings to determine scope of work and take-offs.
• Incorporate safety in means and methods during estimating.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, owners and general contractors.
• Responsible for buyout process with Project Manager.
