Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Commercial Analyst Team Lead to provide leadership and coaching to a team of Commercial Analysts across designated markets. You will recruit, mentor, and develop talent while managing a limited portfolio of client and credit activities to maintain technical excellence.

You will partner with Sales, Credit, Underwriting, and other stakeholders to align resources, improve processes, and drive market growth and client service objectives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of commercial middle market banking experience (credit structuring & analysis, sales, risk assessment)
• 3 years of leadership, supervisory, coaching, or team management experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, credit risk, and underwriting principles
• Experience with complex commercial credit structures and transactions
• Knowledge of commercial loan and deposit documentation

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Analysts.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings for coaching and development.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train Commercial Analysts.
• Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning.
• Provide direction and drive accountability for analyst performance and workloads.
• Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day analyst responsibilities.
• Monitor workload, capacity, and resource allocation.
• Review analyst work product for quality and consistency.
• Manage a limited portfolio of commercial banking relationships and credit activities.
• Partner with leaders on in-market sales strategy and support.
• Provide guidance on complex credit structures and financial analysis.
• Ensure adherence to credit, underwriting, risk, and operational procedures.
