Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with MANTECH, seeks a motivated Coordinating Activity Watch Officer to join our team in Doral, FL. The role focuses on monitoring networks, logging incidents, and coordinating rapid response with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include producing executive summaries, maintaining logs, and driving process improvements to enhance watchstander workflows. Requires extensive defense/intelligence watch operations experience and active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operational Studies, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in watch officer or command center operations.
• Or a master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
• Or an associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
• Or a high school diploma and 9+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience serving in a watch officer, battle captain, or command center operations coordinator role within defense or intelligence environments.
• Strong background in monitoring enterprise communication systems, operational tracking tools, and emergency incident escalation procedures.
• Experience maintaining operational logs, shift handoff documentation, and critical status reports.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and executive operational briefings.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring enterprise operational networks, communication channels, and threat management systems to maintain continuous situational awareness.
• Receiving, logging, prioritizing, and escalating critical operational alerts, incidents, and information requests across theater command centers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, watchstanders, and leadership to coordinate rapid operational response efforts.
• Drafting, publishing, and disseminating daily executive summaries, operational spot reports, and incident notification briefings.
• Maintaining watch logs, operational baselines, shift handoff documentation, and standard operating procedure references.
• Tracking critical system outages, network operational statuses, and mission-essential capability metrics.
• Recommending and implementing continuous process improvements to streamline watchstander workflows and emergency response protocols.
