Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a Combat Systems Engineer Systems Test (EST) 3 to provide solutions for complex ETES test systems across navigation, radar, aviation, and video domains on carrier platforms. You will coordinate with waterfront management, design engineering, test engineering, SUPSHIP, and NAVSEA to update test plans and deliver system status.

You will review test issuance, ensure safety, contribute to program metrics, and report progress to supervision while supporting

Qualifications

• ABET/Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years exempt experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years professional experience.
• Ph.D. with 0 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize customer requirements into ETES test solutions.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and schedules for ETES on Ford and Nimitz Class Carriers.
• Coordinate testing activities and report status to supervision and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety requirements are met and coordinate with NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, and Ship's Force.
