The role provides leadership for the collections services department, oversight of metadata/cataloging, acquisitions, serials, e-resources, and interlibrary loan, with a $700k+ budget and supervision of one staff member.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited master’s degree or expect to complete within the first year of employment.
• Two years of experience in metadata/cataloging and electronic resources.
• Experience managing and motivating professional staff.
• Dedication to undergraduate student engagement.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality library collections in all formats, including acquisitions and cataloging.
• Supervise interlibrary loan operations and staff responsible for ILL and acquisitions.
• Lead collection maintenance projects and advise liaison librarians on collection development.
• Manage the collections budget in collaboration with library leadership.
• Support Alma and Primo VE initiatives and optimize access for users.
• Serve as the College’s liaison to USMAI Library Consortium on collections matters.
• Stay current with scholarly communications trends.
