St. Mary's College of Maryland invites applications for the position of Collections Services Librarian. This is a 12-month, full-time, tenure-track library faculty role with an annual salary of $75,000-$80,000.

The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027, and the college is located in St. Mary's City, Maryland. The librarian will oversee metadata/cataloging, acquisitions, serials, electronic resources, interlibrary loan, and a six-figure budget, supervising one staff member.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science (ALA-accredited) required or expected within first year.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in metadata/cataloging and electronic resources.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate professional staff.
• Commitment to engaging with undergraduate students.

Responsabilités

• Oversee metadata/cataloging, acquisitions, serials, electronic resources.
• Manage interlibrary loan operations and staff.
• Administer collections budget and endowments.
• Serve as liaison to USMAI Library Consortium and campus stakeholders.
