Job summary

Devoted Health is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to own the QA program for retrospective coding and audits within Risk Adjustment. You will lead a team of QA Reviewers and manage internal and offshore vendor relationships, driving improvements in coding accuracy and education through findings and SOP updates.

You will partner with governance on QA scorecards, escalation when performance gaps arise, and the use of analytics to identify trends across reviewers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Current relevant coding certification recognized by AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, CCS-P).
• 7+ years of recent experience in medical record documentation review, diagnosis coding, and/or auditing including risk adjustment coding.
• Experience leading development and presentation of accuracy or performance results to coders or management.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and regulations; ability to read medical records and abstract codes.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the QA program for retrospective coding and audits, including policies and SOPs.
• Oversee offshore vendor QA Reviewers, set accuracy standards, and adjust work allocation.
• Escalate staffing, training, and quality gaps to vendor management.
• Maintain QA policies, SOPs, and the QA Scorecard process; report findings to leadership.
• Collaborate with technology/analytics teams on QA requirements for AI-assisted coding.
