Job summary

RELI Group is seeking a Lead Senior Coder QA to oversee RADV coding accuracy and disputes for hospital and physician records. The role includes mentoring a team of up to 15 coders, ensuring 95% IRR and adherence to confidentiality.

The ideal candidate holds a certified medical coder credential from a U.S. authority, with at least five years of relevant experience in inpatient/outpatient coding and a proven ability to train and supervise staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified medical coder with certification from any recognized United States medical coding credentialing institution.
• Five (5) years of experience in abstracting and ICD-9/ICD-10-CM coding of hospital and physician records.
• Ability to function in a lead role and train medical record reviewers; act as Master Coder for projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary and secondary coding validation reviews for inpatient, outpatient, and physician records per RADV guidelines.
• Evaluate validity of medical records and attestations, non-compliance issues, and other validations per RADV guidelines.
• Conduct Medical Record Dispute and Appeal reviews per RADV guidelines.
• Provide QA feedback and training to coders; oversee team of up to 15 coders.
• Mediate coding decisions between Senior and Primary Coders; escalate questions as needed.
• Enter data into encoder, CDAT-M, and other required software accurately.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of PHI and comply with all processes.
