Job summary

Ponaganset High School is seeking a Co-Ed Wrestling Head Coach in Glocester, RI to lead the program, develop student-athletes, and emphasize discipline, teamwork, and academic performance.

The coach will coordinate practices and meets with the Athletic Director and Principal, monitor academics, ensure safety, and serve as a positive role model for students. After-school commitments required, NFHS courses completed annually.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching adolescent age students in competitive sports.
• Coaching application and RI state requirements.
• Updated National and State BCI Check; First Aid/CPR/AED certificate; NFHS course requirements.
• NFHS courses to be completed annually as required.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants, small groups and teams in wrestling skills.
• Supervises team members and teams at all times.
• Maintains knowledge of current RIIL regulations and district policies including academics and personal development.
• Collaborates with athletic director to monitor academic performance and emphasize leadership.
