Job summary

Omega Engineering Inc. is seeking a seasoned CNC Programmer/Lead to develop new CAM programs for existing parts and new equipment. You will produce setup sheets, select tooling and workholding, and communicate with Setup/Operators.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced machinist with ability to take a job from print to finished part.
• Experience programming CNC machines in CAM software.
• Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and instructions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Write and modify CNC programs for 4–8 axis machines per print.
• Review drawings and determine sequence of operations and setup requirements.
• Analyze, test, and review programs to improve efficiency.
• Set up fixtures, tooling, and materials; verify machine performance.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspections with precision measuring tools.
• Change tooling and offsets to meet tolerances and specs.
• Mentor other CNC personnel and monitor production quality.
