Job summary

LeClaire Manufacturing Co. is seeking a CNC Programmer for a full-time, on-site role in Bettendorf, IA. The candidate will own programs from screen to finished part, proving them out at the machine and handing off clean setups to leads and operators.

The role blends office and floor work, emphasizing ownership, initiative, and collaboration with engineering, quality, and production to ensure first-time quality. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience programming multi-axis CNC or strong programming aptitude with hands-on mindset.
• Comfortable moving between office and shop floor; self-directed and hands-on.
• Ability to read and interpret complex prints and models with good tooling and fixturing knowledge.
• Solid understanding of GD&T, machining fundamentals and setup processes.
• Drive to improve processes rather than simply run them as-is.

Responsibilities

• Program complex parts for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
• Prove out programs at the machine, set up tooling and offsets.
• Hand off documented programs and setup sheets to leads and operators.
• Select tooling and workholding to balance cycle time, finish, and tool life.
• Troubleshoot and improve existing programs on the floor.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to get parts right the first time.
