Job summary

MAC Products is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to own the floor from 6:30 AM, not just press buttons but lead the flow of parts from setup to inspection. You will program in G-code, work with Fusion 360 or Mastercam, and ensure first-pass quality while coordinating with QC and the CNC Manager.

You will prepare tooling, fixtures, and setups, run first article checks, and push for continuous improvements in scrap and cycle times, keeping the shop running smoothly and on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in G-code and CAM software (Fusion 360 or Mastercam).
• Proficient with inspection tools—calipers, gauges, micrometers.
• Strong fundamentals in tooling, fixturing, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
• Real production experience: minimizing scrap, reducing cycle times, improving tooling and process efficiency.
• Ability to program and operate both mill and lathe.

Responsibilities

• Review the day’s job queue and anticipate issues before they become problems.
• Prepare fixtures and tooling so machines are ready to run.
• Program G-code and work in Fusion 360 or Mastercam to ensure parts are right first time.
• Run first article inspection and quality checks throughout the day with QC collaboration.
• Partner with CNC Manager on priorities and adapt quickly when shifts occur.
• Assign work to Operators and hold them accountable for their stations.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning to keep equipment reliable.
• Seek continuous improvements: reduce scrap, tighten cycle times, optimize tooling.
