Job summary

MicroPort is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to create and optimize multi-axis CNC programs using CAD/CAM software. You will review material removal rates for tool life and efficiency while meeting management-defined CNC programming goals.

The role emphasizes working with engineering, manufacturing, and plant personnel to sustain high quality standards. Ideal candidates possess 5+ years of CNC programming experience, CAD/CAM familiarity, and a strong background in regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software.
Experience with Vericut or similar optimization tools is a plus.
Knowledge of regulated production manufacturing processes.
Experience in selecting tooling and machining parameters.
Ability to develop and maintain detailed work instructions.
Mentor for other programmers and machinists.
Familiarity with quality specifications and programming standards.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain multi-axis CNC programs to produce parts using CAD/CAM software.
Develop CNC machining processes, tool selection, speeds, and feeds.
Perform CNC program prove outs and adjust programs as needed.
Prepare work instructions and validate machining processes with training.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and plant personnel.
Implement cost improvements and assist equipment selection.
Support design of jigs, fixtures, and specialized CNC equipment.
Ensure compliance with CNC programming standards and Quality System.
Mentor other programmers and machinists.
Follow all file management procedures.
