Job summary

MicroPort is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to create and optimize programs for multi-axis CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software. You will review tool paths, set speeds and feeds, and ensure parts meet specifications while improving efficiency.

You will develop machining processes, perform prove-outs, document work instructions, train operators, and mentor junior programmers. A background in Vericut and UG/Mastercam optimization is highly valued, along with knowledge of regulated production

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience required with CAD/CAM systems.
• Experience developing and validating in regulated manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of tool selection, speeds/feeds, and standardization.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain multi-axis CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
• Develop machining processes and optimize material removal rates.
• Perform CNC program prove-outs and adjust as needed.
• Prepare work instructions and supervise process validations and training.
• Ensure compliance with CNC programming standards and quality specs.
• Mentor other programmers and machinists.
• Assist in selecting new equipment.
• Report cost improvements.
• Follow file management procedures per Quality System.
