Job summary

IT8, a diversified engineering partner, seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager – CNC Machining Services to lead an on-site team in Decatur, Illinois. The role centers on sustaining CNC equipment and coordinating with customer production teams for uptime and reliability.

The project begins November 2026 for 12 months, offering a hands-on leadership position with weekend on-site work, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and retirement

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial CNC machine maintenance experience.
3+ years of maintenance team leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of CNC systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.
Experience with preventive maintenance planning and CMMS software.
Professional English proficiency (spoken and written) required.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of four maintenance technicians.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for CNC machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CNC control issues.
Coordinate maintenance schedules, equipment readiness, and operational priorities.
Communicate directly with the customer and provide maintenance reports.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, including LOTO procedures.
