Job summary

Jobot in Lombard, IL is seeking a highly skilled Principal CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our precision shop. You will set up and operate VTL CNC machines, create and modify programs, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances using titanium, monel, and aluminum.

This hands-on role focuses on process improvement, mentoring junior machinists, and collaborating with engineers to deliver high-value, low-volume parts in a safe, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a VTL CNC Machinist/Programmer.
• Experience with titanium, monel, stainless steel, and copper.
• Proven track record in process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Excellent CAD/CAM programming skills with Fusion 360.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate VTL CNC machines to the highest quality standards.
• Create and modify CNC programs using established processes.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools.
• Work with titanium, monel and aluminum while maintaining safety.
• Contribute to process improvements and mentor junior machinists.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and collaborate with the team.
• Coordinate with engineers and production to meet schedules.
