Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist to operate and set up CNC lathes and mills, including Mazatrol and G-code programming, to produce components per drawings and GD&T.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong measurement skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with overhead cranes. This on-site position offers night shift hours and competitive hourly wages.

Qualifications

• Skilled in Mazatrol and G-code programming.
• Proficient at interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
• Familiar with SPC and ISO quality systems to ensure standards are met.
• Strong ability to read, write and document in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, including tooling setup, insert changes, offsets, and deburring of finished parts.
• Manufacture components according to engineering prints, specs, and GD&T.
• Perform quality inspections using precision tools to confirm part compliance.
• Document quality data and production metrics for reporting and improvement.
• Support preventive maintenance through routine machine checks and communication with maintenance staff.
• Review production schedules, prioritize tasks, and prepare equipment and materials for daily operations.
• Perform light corrective maintenance on CNC machines as needed.
• Safely handle and move materials using overhead cranes/hoists.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per policies.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, including fixturing and tooling development.
