Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience; lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical machining degree preferred.
• Proficiency with vertical mills, lathes, drill presses and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience working with tight tolerances and complex machining requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of CNC machinists to meet production goals and schedules.
• Perform complex machining operations independently with minimal supervision.
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines including mills, lathes, and drill presses.
• Determine machining processes, tooling, and operation sequences for efficiency and accuracy.
• Fabricate new and replacement parts for mechanical equipment and aircraft components.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced machinists.
• Interpret drawings and process sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Perform precision measurements to verify tolerances and inspect parts.
