Job summary

Standex International is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, including 5-axis, to produce precision parts. You will read blueprints, interpret specifications, and ensure quality with diligent measurement and tooling setup.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC experience, strong GD&T reading abilities, and a commitment to safety. This position runs 7:00AM-3:30PM and offers ongoing training within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in operating/setting up CNC Machine Tool
• Experience in programming with G code required
• CNC Machine Tool schooling or relative experience preferred
• Proficient reading blueprints and GD&T

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, material, quantity, and finish dimensions
• Operate CNC machines, including 5-axis, to meet specifications
• Install and align cutting tools and fixtures, using measuring instruments
• Monitor and adjust machine controls to regulate cutting speed and feeds
• Maintain safety and quality standards and complete logs and PCS
• Train others and participate in audits as directed
