Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machining centers to produce precision components. You will interpret G-code, read blueprints with GD&T, and ensure quality while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience, strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related experience or training preferred.
• G-code interpretation experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers to produce precision parts.
• Install and align machine accessories using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Run proven machine tool programs with minimal supervision.
• Measure finished parts with micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
• Perform daily/weekly operator maintenance on equipment.
• Document production and quality logs.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in lean activities.
