The role requires reading drawings, selecting tooling, and ensuring tight tolerances. Schedule is 6:00am-2:30pm, with emphasis on efficiency, safety, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience in machining, shop mathematics and practices.
• Valid OSHA forklift license and hold 1C and 3A hoisting licenses.
• Be dependable, work well with others, and focused on the job.
• Demonstrate accuracy in all documentation and job reporting.

Responsibilities

• Work from drawings, specifications, and process plans; use precision measuring instruments.
• Set up, adjust, and operate milling machines, boring mills, engine lathes and drill presses.
• Run at least 3 production jobs on 2 different machining centers with minimal supervision.
• Select speeds and feeds, sequences, and tooling for required operations.
• Perform turning, boring, reaming, facing, threading on standardized work.
• Grind tools, spin blocks, rollers, rings, etc.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow PPE requirements.
