Job summary

Northeast Tool & Manufacturing is seeking a seasoned CNC Supervisory Lead for the 2nd shift in a precision aerospace environment. You will set up, run, troubleshoot, and optimize complex multi-axis parts, while coaching a team of CNC Machinists and Operators.

You will drive production scheduling, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safety, 5S, and strong shift-to-shift communication. This role demands hands-on leadership and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years CNC machining experience.
• Experience setting up and machining complex, tight‑tolerance components on multi-axis CNC milling, turning, and/or mill-turn platforms.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, workholding, feeds and speeds, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, training, or providing technical guidance to manufacturing employees.
• Experience utilizing precision measurement and inspection equipment to verify product conformance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd shift CNC Machining team, performing hands-on setup, operation, troubleshooting, tooling optimization, and process improvement.
• Coordinate daily production activities, set priorities, and ensure on-time delivery and quality targets.
• Coach and develop 2nd shift CNC Machinists and Operators with mentorship and performance feedback.
• Support machining operations through training, process improvements, and best-practice deployment.
• Act as shift communication hub, coordinating handoffs and ensuring quality and NCR resolution.
• Drive 5S, safety, and continuous improvement across the shop floor.
