Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a seasoned CNC Service Technician to service and repair 5-axis milling centers across field locations in Michigan and beyond. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, install and level new machines, and document every action in the ERP.

The role requires 5+ years of field experience, mastery of Siemens or Fidia controls, and a readiness to travel 75–100%.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC Mills.
  • Install, level, and commission new CNC machines and automation peripherals.
  • Calibrate accuracy using laser interferometers and ballbars.
  • Create service records with diagnostics, parts replaced, and downtime.
  • Comply with NFPA 70E and LOTO safety protocols.

Step into a day on our service teamMorning: a 5‑axis gantry throws an alarm. You arrive on site, isolate the fault with an oscilloscope and multimeter, verify encoders and servo loops, and bring the Milling Center back to peak performance. Afternoon: you level and align a newly installed moving‑table machine, confirm geometry with a laser interferometer and ballbar, and document every action in the ERP with parts usage and downtime notes.
