Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care of Central Seminole County is seeking a Lead Caregiver CNA to supervise and support our caregiving team. In this role you will provide direct care when needed and lead on-the-job training and peer mentoring to help develop our team.

You will cover shifts created by call-offs, start care for new clients, and travel up to 45 minutes from our office. A valid CNA certification and reliable transportation are required, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality in-home care.

Qualifications

• C.N.A. certification is required.
• 3+ years as a caregiver preferred.
• Dementia-related caregiving experience preferred.
• Reliable and efficient.
• Takes initiative to improve care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both orally and written.
• Strong and efficient problem-solver and multitasker.
• Reliable car and up-to-date auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill shifts which are open due to a "call-off" from current caregivers.
• Fulfill shifts of new cases where a permanent solution has yet been determined.
• Start of care with new clients where caregivers have yet to be assigned.
• Provide field training to new caregivers and quality check-in visits on cases recommended by the Client Care Manager.
