Job summary

Morningside House of Spotsylvania is seeking a Certified Medication Aide CMA to lead shifts in a memory care setting. Administer oral and topical medications under physician orders and nurse supervision, ensuring safety and accuracy in every dose.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to state and federal regulations, and compassionate resident care. Full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts available with opportunities for growth and leadership.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide certification required.
• Experience in memory care or senior living preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and community policy.
• Lead shift and coordinate with Director of Health and Wellness, ADON, and RCC.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the five rights of medication administration; document medication administration accurately.
• May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as required by certain medications.
• Maintain, stock, and organize the Medication Room; ensure accurate charting in the computer system.
• Communicate with medical staff, nursing service and other department supervisors; supervise care staff in absence of nurses.
