Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; CMA certification required.
• State and federal rules govern medication administration under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Lead shift in coordination with management.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the 'five rights' of medication administration.
• May take and record vital signs as required by certain medications.
• Communicates with medical staff and other department supervisors.
