Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Internal Medicine Residency Program. This full-time, days role involves leading assigned staff and coordinating physician practice operations.

You will be a resource for staff, assign and monitor tasks, ensure policy compliance, and oversee orientation and training. Medical Assistant credential and BLS are required, with potential for growth within Ascension.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Medical Assistant credential obtained before hire date.
• Education path includes high school or higher with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
• Lead assigned staff in activities supporting physician practice operations.
• Coordinate shift operations of tasks, resources, and associates.
• Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff.
• Assign, monitor, and review progress of work.
• Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee orientation and training of associates.
• May provide input in staff performance reviews.
• Inventory clinical supplies and place supply orders.
• Receive and organize medication samples.
