Job summary

Ascension Center for Advanced Medicine in Evansville, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant to support cardiology patients. You will interview patients, record vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist with treatments under supervision.

A strong emphasis on accurate record-keeping and efficient clerical support is required. Minimum qualifications include a BLS within 30 days and either a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant credential within 3 months.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Medical Assistant with Registered or Certified credentials must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with provider-ordered treatment under supervision by provider or RN.
• Interview patients, record vital signs, and document in charts; prepare treatment rooms.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering phones and maintaining records.
• Manage supplies: order and stock; maintain clean and orderly environment.
• Transcribe orders and document encounters per provider instructions.
