Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Certification options: MLS Generalist (ASCP BOC) or MT Generalist (ASCP BOR) or ASCP/AMT Specialist/Categorical.
• One year of creditable experience at GS-11 equivalent for GS-12 level.
• Experience in leading and coordinating a clinical laboratory section and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead CLS communicates strategic plan, mission, and values; assigns and balances work.
• Prepares reports and maintains records of work status; coordinates daily activities of the lab section.
• Ensures policies and regulatory requirements are followed; coordinates quality control reviews and method verification activities.
• Acts as liaison to supervisor and other departments; oversees training needs and performance.
