Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to design and manage core cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS and Azure services. The role includes Tier 3 support for SITEC 3 EOM partners, ensuring uptime and mission readiness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT experience, active TS/SCI clearance, and strong background in cloud provisioning, IaC, and security practices within enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience; 4 years can substitute for degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; US Citizenship required.
• 3+ years AWS/Azure experience with design, deployment, configuration and optimization.
• Production Windows Server management and strong security practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating platforms and office applications.
• At least 3 years IT experience.
• Experience with performance optimization and system engineering processes.
• DoW 8570 IAT II Certification and DoW 8140 compliant (451 – System Administrator – Intermediate or higher).

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer AWS & Azure cloud environments with provisioning, configuration, monitoring, policy governance and security.
• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region Azure solutions.
• Analyze existing standards and processes to identify improvements.
• Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
• Manage security and access controls for cloud solutions.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated deployments.
• Implement data protection best practices to prevent data loss.
• Support cloud adoption of applications during transformation and modernization.
• Ensure resources meet performance and capacity standards.
• Provide training and mentorship to Cloud Administrators.
• Innovate and implement new technologies to advance mission readiness.
