Job summary

Atlassian in the United States is seeking a senior incident response leader to coordinate and execute high‑impact security incidents in a complex cloud environment. You will work with Detection, Security Engineering, Product Security, Legal, Crisis Communications, Support, and senior leadership to drive investigations, containment, and recovery.

You will manage a 5–8 person team in the US region, coaching responders and elevating executive communication, decision making, and handoffs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder security incidents in a SaaS, cloud, or enterprise environment.
• Strong executive communication skills; ability to translate technical information into clear decisions and next steps.
• Experience improving incident response programs through metrics, readiness exercises, and cross‑team influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate high‑impact security incidents across a complex cloud environment.
• Mentor a team of 5–8 incident responders in the US region.
• Drive investigation, containment, recovery, and post‑incident reviews.
• Develop playbooks, metrics, exercises, and tooling to improve response quality.
• Champion investigational AI tools and automation in security operations.
