Job summary

At Atlassian, you’ll lead high‑impact incident response work in a complex cloud environment, shaping how we respond to security events at scale. You’ll coordinate major incidents, drive containment and recovery, and manage a team of 5–8 in the US region, partnering across Legal, Crisis Communications, and senior leadership.

You’ll coach responders, improve investigations, and advance playbooks and tooling. Experience with AI-enabled security workflows and executive communication is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, high‑severity security incidents.
• Strong executive communication and decision‑making under pressure.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor senior security engineers and responders.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate complex security incidents across cloud environments.
• Partner with Security, Legal, Crisis Communications, and leadership to drive containment and recovery.
• Coach incident responders and raise the quality of investigations, handoffs, and decision making.
• Drive adoption of investigative AI tools and automation to improve triage and consistency.
