Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Engineer on the Cloud Security team to own the software portfolio and drive the development of scalable backend services in Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot. You will own the findings pipeline, data attribution, and integration with enterprise remediation workflows.

You will mentor engineers, partner with security and platform teams, and set data contracts, CI/CD practices, and SLAs to ensure reliable security services across Target's cloud footprint.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems.
• Deep experience with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and operation of the finding pipeline and backend services.
• Own ownership-attribution, data models, and reconciliation logic end-to-end.
• Build scalable backend services with clean APIs and observable production systems.
• Collaborate with security, network, and platform teams on telemetry and handoffs.
