Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Engineer for Cloud Security to own the CSPM/CNAPP platform across public and private clouds. You will translate security requirements into automated, developer-friendly controls and drive the platform’s operation, tuning, and improvements.

This role demands hands-on engineering, strong cloud security expertise, and collaboration with security and product teams. You will mentor engineers, shape policy, and ensure platform reliability with clear SLAs.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree OR equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in technology with cloud security.
• Experience owning security/platform capabilities end-to-end at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience deploying and tuning CSPM/CNAPP platforms in large multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for CSPM/CNAPP platforms across Target’s cloud environments.
• Own end-to-end engineering, deployment, configuration, and operation of CSPM/CNAPP platform.
• Operate platform as a production system with defined SLOs and on-call.
• Manage CSPM policy set end-to-end including tuning and exceptions.
• Collaborate with Detection & Response and other security teams to feed findings into remediation workflows.
• Mentor engineers and drive adoption of platform across Target Tech.
