Job summary

Chase, a leader in financial services, seeks a Lead Software Engineer within Consumer & Community Banking technology (Deposits Platform). You will be a core technical contributor driving resiliency, disaster recovery, and scalable solutions across multiple applications in a secure, highly available environment.

You will mentor engineers, champion AI-assisted development, and establish robust playbooks while aligning with regulatory and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with design, development, testing and operational stability.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands-on experience with AWS DR services and multi-AZ/multi-region deployments.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash and IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• 5+ years in SRE, Disaster Recovery Planning, or Distributed Systems Engineering.
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools with governance for correctness, performance and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end DR tests and real-time failover across all applications.
• Develop and maintain resiliency frameworks for automated offerings and repeatable patterns.
• Define and monitor RTO/RPO for product components and track gaps.
• Automate disaster recovery provisioning, scaling, configuration, and monitoring with IaC.
• Drive resiliency testing and chaos engineering using AWS tools.
• Partner with SREs to build advanced detection and proactive CloudWatch alerts.
• Establish and execute DR playbooks and runbooks with documented dependencies.
• Mentor software engineers and promote operational best practices.
• Collect DR test artifacts and audit trails to demonstrate compliance.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices with secure coding and testing standards.
