UKG is the largest U.S.-based private software company with 80,000 customers across 150 countries. We are seeking a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to build and maintain our cloud’s PaaS layer, working with technologies like Linux, Go, Ansible, Kubernetes, GKE, GCP, and Openstack. The role involves collaborating with Agile teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of UKG software across cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing and improving tools and services such as Kubernetes, MongoDB, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and AlloyDB.
• Building applications to enable Product Development teams via self-service portals.
• Collaborating with teams to meet requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Leading engineering implementations and mentoring team members.
• Ensuring development aligns with industry best practices and UKG guidelines.
• Documenting technical specifications and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• 8+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure, programming (Java, Golang, Python, Ruby), Linux platforms, and cloud-native solutions (GCP preferred).
• Experience with DevOps tools, container technologies, scripting, networking, and developing scalable, high-availability services.
• Optional: experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, message queues, monitoring tools.

This role may involve work with the U.S. government; U.S. citizenship and security clearance are preferred.
