Job summary

The University System of New Hampshire is seeking a Cloud Operations Technical Lead to guide the Automation and Platform Services team. The role focuses on building, supporting, and maintaining enterprise IT automation tools used across CI/CD, DevOps, and IaC environments.

You will oversee virtualization, cloud hosting, and service lifecycle for critical systems. You will mentor staff, manage performance reviews, and ensure secure, scalable operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field; two years of IT field experience or equivalent.
Experience with Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) systems administration.
Familiarity with VMware virtualization, Azure, AWS, and other public cloud hosting environments.
Scripting experience with Python, PHP, Bash or PowerShell; strong CI/CD and DevOps background.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and supervision to the Automation and Platform Services team staff.
Oversee all work for quality and timeliness of delivery; plan and schedule resources.
Develop and administer automation and platform services environments; configure management tasks.
Develop automation for system maintenance, performance monitoring, and security testing.
Document processes and ensure ongoing process improvement.
